transformare came before gundam and evangelion
Also it's not really a chronological list, more a design phase list. As you can see I put Sky Captain first and he's from 2004!
True dat, but not movie transformers!
Personally, I take great offense to their being no MechWarrior on this.
As a lot of people have pointed out, the mech I have listed as "Warhammer 40K" is actually from BattleTech, my mistake. Hope that's worth something.
cool line up, but thats not a 40k titan, just a warhammer mech from like mechwarrior or something, other wise
I know, I will have someone reminding me every few weeks for the rest of my life!
*other wise awsome work
Kinda sad that Megas XLR isn't there but, awesome job! ^^
no mazinger, i am disappointed.
I've never heard of Mazinger but he seems like a pretty boss Japanese robot. Could only include the big boys but I'm sure he was worthy to be listed as an influence.
Under the Jaeger's evolution, why not TTGL (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)?
Someone else mentioned Gurren Lagann, but truth is I'd never heard of it. These were all just the ones I knew were key, and there were honestly too many Japanese mechs to choose from. My biggest regret: The Big O. Wish I'd included him...
You forgot the Megazord. Great job though.
Iron Man should have been in Evolution of Jaegers, but this is still awesome!
Thanks dude! Smaller suit mechs were originally in my plan, but then I realized I had about 30 movies and that would be ridiculous. Wish I could have included mech suits from Aliens, District 9, Avatar, Innerspace, etc.
too bad you didnīt put in an armored command unit from supreme commander ... but i guess you simply donīt know the game ... so nevermind
Those are some badass mechs! Very similar to the ones in the movie. I didn't know the game (I actually don't play video games, shh, don't tell anyone) but I appreciate the info. Always good to get the 411 on some awesome-ass mechs!
iron giant vs original godzilla ... that would be a sight ... and the moviebackgrounds of both somewhat match ...
no gurren-lagan for mech ?
Gotta be honest, I had never heard of Gurren Lagann before you mentioned it, but after looking at it briefly it looks crazy and I can't wait to watch an episode or two. There were quite a few Japanese mechs I left out for redundancy purposes, most heartbreakingly for me being The Big O. Thanks for the recommend!
You put Warhammer 40K but that's not even a Titan!
I know, I know! Couple folks already complained, total ignorance on my part! My apologies to the Warhammer/Battletech communities!
I'm glad you remember Gorgo! I did too, I just thought she was aesthetically too close to Godzilla to really warrant one of the 11 spots I had. She's great, though!
I remember Big Guy and Rusty. I thought I was the only one. Nice to see that the best shows are still remembered.
I'm a little surprised the megazord from power rangers wasn't on here
Pacific Rim is the best live-action anime film Japan never made.
